About us

Ikke i rute is about making room for different perspectives and finding new ways to move forward together.

In Denmark, when a bus displays “Ikke i rute”, it means it’s not following its usual path — it’s out of service, unavailable to passengers.

Rather than following predefined paths, we seek to expand the map, creating fresh trajectories between Denmark and the Global South. Through artistic and scientific collaboration, we navigate overlooked histories, open space for new voices, and contribute to exchanges that cross national and institutional boundaries.
